In preparation for the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Hanoi, the Hanoi Municipal Government recently organized a series of celebratory events themed Green, Low-Carbon, and Sustainable Development. Among these was the celebration ceremony for CNTY's WtE Plant in Soc Son, Hanoi, Vietnam.
On the morning of October 13, the celebration event for the Plant, hosted by the Hanoi Municipal Government and co-organized by Hanoi Tianyu, was held at the project site. Approximately 200 distinguished guests attended the event, including Mr. Trần Sỹ Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Đông, Member of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; Mr. Pham Quý Tiên, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Congress; leaders from central ministries such as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Construction, and Ministry of Industry and Trade; as well as leaders from the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, People's Congress, People's Committee, MTTQ, and representatives from various sectors of society.
Mr. Cao Debiao, President of CNTY, attended and delivered a speech on behalf of the project owner. He stated that the Project actively responds to the concept of green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. By converting waste into renewable energy, it effectively addresses Hanoi's waste disposal challenges, providing strong support for urban environmental improvement, resource recycling, and energy production. The Project serves as a model of friendly cooperation between China and Vietnam in the field of environmental protection.
Mr. Trần Sỹ Thanh delivered a significant address during the event. He congratulated the Project on its continuous, stable, and efficient operation. He expressed the hope that CNTY would further accelerate the implementation for the project to address accumulated waste, sludge, and fly ash. He also called upon all relevant departments of Hanoi to provide full support and cooperation, jointly advancing efforts to comprehensively resolve the city's long-standing waste management challenges and create a cleaner urban environment for its citizens.
During the site tour, attending leaders and guests visited this modern, high-efficiency WtE plant. They highly praised its advanced technological equipment, strict environmental control standards, and efficient operational management. They acknowledged the Project's outstanding contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development, successfully transforming wastes into treasured resources.
Moving forward, CNTY will further increase its investment in Vietnam's environmental protection and new energy sectors, making greater contributions to Vietnam's green and low-carbon economic development.
