CNTY and CHIMBUSCO Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
2025-04-19

On April 16, 2025, China Tianying Inc. (CNTY) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) Co. Ltd. (CHIMBUSCO), officially becoming CHIMBUSCO's global green supply chain partner.

The two parties have established a strategic partnership, under which CNTY will produce green fuels such as e-methanol, e-ammonia, and e-methane to support CHIMBUSCO's transition to alternative fuels for new-generation oceangoing vessels. CNTY has invested in the construction of e-methanol, e-ammonia, and e-methane production facilities in Liaoyuan, Anda, Songyuan, Tongliao, and other regions across China, planning to achieve an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of EU-certified e-methanol by the first quarter of 2026. By around 2030, CNTY aims to expand its e-methanol supply capacity to 1 million tons per year. Upon completion, multiple hydrogen derivatives production lines will be launched, providing a "China Solution" to meet the global shipping industry's demand for diverse green alternative fuel options and stringent lifecycle carbon footprint reduction targets.

The signing ceremony coincided with the landmark mid-term resolutions on promoting green marine alternative fuels adopted at the IMO MEPC 83 session. This comprehensive strategic collaboration between CNTY, a Chinese green alternative fuel producer meeting strict EU and IMO lifecycle carbon reduction requirements and CHIMBUSCO, a pioneer in China's green shipping sector and global provider of marine fuel supply and bunkering solutions, will contribute to the realization of multiple international decarbonization goals. These include China's Dual Carbon goals, Paris Agreement commitments, the EU's Fit for 55 carbon reduction package, and IMO's mid-term emission reduction measures.

This strategic partnership will lay the foundation for a traceable "Chian Solution" covering the entire industry chain and lifecycle carbon footprint of green alternative fuels produced in China. It addresses the industry challenge of the "last mile" in green fuel adoption and provides strong support for Chinese manufactures and bunkering suppliers in delivering global solutions.
